The Hare that Lost his Market Share
No retreat…No Surrender. Never Give up.
Besides sounding like I’m a Military Officer employing my troops to battle until they are no longer able, this is the Introduction for The Story of The Tortoise and The Hare.
So, what had happened was….a friend o mine on Facebook posted the following:
"If quitters never win, and winners never quit, what fool came up with, "Quit while you’re ahead"?"
So, I entered full steam ahead…and the following transpired…
Me: The game never Stops
Her: @chris.. doesnt the game end if you quit while you are ahead.???
Me: umm no. That just mean you sprint good..but aint good the perseverance for distance.."The Tuttle v The Rabbit"…the Rabbit quit while he was ahead too!..you see what mark he left in history
Her: he actually didnt quit though.. he resumed…so in all actually he didnt quit, seeing quitting means to cease or to stop… he resumed the raise when he noticed he was going to lose
Me: semantics!!…he quit while he was ahead…anyone that realizes they quit (or rested) too soon is going to resume because…*everyone altogether* "The Game Never Stops! (how you going to argue..he aint quit!)..actually thinking in the moment..he quit, because he expected the turtle to give up because he was so far ahead..thusly making the race never-ending!….the rabbit never cared to win (hence his stopping)..until he was losing…there!…broke dat story down to the very last compound!!..on to Humpty Dumpty
Her: he rested at the wrong time.. he didnt quit…he anticipated a victory…he didnt quit.. because he finished the race.. if he quit then he would have just went home and stayed
Me: smh…If I’m in a race..I’m going to finish it right then..not ‘rest’ at any point…apparently that story throughout history has no meaning or purpose!…ask dem YWCA kids! On to humpty Dumpty!
Her: omg… i am so confused with this….omg…please move to paraphrasing and philosophying humpty dumpty…lmao
Me: nope…yall will have to wait…because I’m about to Blog about The turtle and the Rabbit! You will get a shoutout too!

So, what did the Hare do exactly, did he prematurely celebrate his impending victory by completely stopping..isn’t that quitting?
Did the Hare, get ‘potentially fatally’ tired and decided to rest out of necessity?
We all know that I the story, the Hare started off completely over-confident and so sure that he was going to win that it is safe to conclude that…this was a race that the writer took this very stance that Winners never quit and Quitter never win literally. In another lifetime this story could very well end by the Hare sleeping through the ending and the Tuttle becoming so frustrated that he quits, or goes home, or just never gets to the finish line. …I think the same moral to the story could be given if this alternate ending is ever discovered on this blog and history is rewritten…Neither animal Wins…the rabbit hops up on a group of 20 does….you ever heard the saying ‘F*ck Like Rabbits’….OK…so he never finishes..the Tortoise..with the brain the size of a Pea and an attention span short than he can travel forgets where he is even racing to or for or against…THE MORAL: Stay focused, don’t get sidetracked, AND don’t stop til you done.
However you chop or slice it…That HARE* QUIT! He rested at the wrong time….and I ask you, when is the wrong time to rest in a Race?!..The answer is ‘NEVER’…if you respect your competition…you push forward at a pace to COMPLETE with you before all others…not for you to take Breaks…
Maybe Bill Gates should take a Year break..I bet he’d love to frantically get up and see where he’s at! Maybe McDonald’s should take a break to see if Wendy’s or Subway can take their Market Share. Silly Rabbit…Tricks are for kids.

The game NEVER ends. The person that was behind came up with the saying “quit while your ahead” Remember you are not the only player there is always someone waiting to take your place.
No matter where you finish the race, as long as you cross the line you did not quit. Sometimes it is not about others its about you. A race or challenge that will better you. Know the difference between the two.
